4 nights tax free island our last stop in Malaysia before we cross the boarder. Ed and I were both feeling excited about going to Thailand after a tough few weeks in Malaysia. I think we both felt that there wasn't much on offer in Malaysia and we were both a little bored to be honest. Langkawi was a breath of fresh air after the few weeks since leaving Singapore. The weather was still a little wet and humid (We were still in the tail end of the monsoon).
It was great to get back on a beach and enjoy a few beers whilst watching the sunset. There isn't much to do in Langkawi apart from making the most of the tax free items on sale.... Vodka, Jack Danielle's etc all in preparation for Thailand.
We had planned on going out on a scooter for the day however we were a little side tracked by a few beers with another English couple.... A few beers turned into a few more when the weather turned and it was having a lightning and thunder storm. We ended up walking back to our hostel in the rain and a little worse for ware! So as you've guessed out days on Langkawi consisted off shopping, beach and a few too many beers.
