Since arriving back in Thailand Ben and i, ok so maybe just me, spent alot of time shopping! I cant get over how nice the fashion is in Bangkok, i could have spent a fortune! But im on a very strict budget and managed to stop myself from spending all my savings! Ben and I couldnt wait to get back to the islands so we booked our bus for the next day and headed to Krabi, in the south of thailand. We spent out days sunbathing and swimming with a bit more sunbathing and i did start to get a bit of colour! We did a day tour on a speedboat to a few islands and although the weather that day wasnt the best we still had a lovely day snorkelling and swimming in the sea! the coral was amazing and we were told it gets much beter in phi phi so we couldnt wait to move on. The next day we made our way to phi phi and the weather was atrocious. dark grey sky and lots and lots of rain! But we kept our fingers crossed and the next day the sun came out and stayed out for the next few days that we were there.
On our third day we went on a boat trip around Phi Phi ley to go snorkelling, it was so hot that ben and i were constantly putting on more suntan lotion and still ended up burnt! One of the stops was Bamboo island which is uninhabited and has pure white sand and crystal water, it was absolutely beautiful and having gone on about it to ben for so long he could now understand why! Our only mistake was to choose to swim to the beach rather than kayak from our boat as we were so knackered when we reached it that we had to leave quite soon to make sure we had time to swim back to the boat! The coral surrounding Phi phi was amazing, so many colours and little fishies swimming along with me! (I felt like a mermaid!) It was then that i decided i was definiately going to do my Padi when i get the Great Barrier Reef in Oz... cant wait. At one point the boat stopped moving and the staff were tapping on the side of the boat, i was a little confused until i looked over the side and saw at least 10 dolphins swimming around our boat! i couldnt belive it as ive never seen dolphins before and as seeing them on the trip wasnt planned i had a big smile on my face the rest of the day! We stayed on the boat at the end of the day and it took out us to sea to watch the sunset which was lovely.
Not wanting to leave we had to go back to Bangkok to catch our flight to Oz and despite saying we would never drink the day before we have to travel Ben and i headed out to Khao San road and got drunk! we had a wicked last night out in Asia but paid for it the next day on our 9 hour flight to Sydney!!
