Leaving Gingin was something we was definitely looking forward to and as the day finally approached we packed our rucksacks and set off to the next house sit in Huntingdale (South Perth) for a week.
Looking after Ziggy, Jess and Ralph this house sit turned out to be alot more easier and alot more comfortable. The house was beautiful; Set inside a tidy neighbourhood the house had four bedrooms and a spacious front room with a smart kitchen. We was very happy with this house and easily settled in. Jess being old and timid was especially harder to come round, however Ziggy was soon our best friend as he constantly wanted to play and cuddle. Jess due to her being older was much happier after being fed, and remembering her medication twice a day was a must as she had heart and gland problems. Unfortunately she was also allergic to grass and constantly had itchy paws which she was always chewing. Walking them once a day we was left with our remaining time of running a few errands and we also visited the local attraction, Caversham wildlife park. This park was dedicated to the Australian wildlife so we saw Koalas, Possums, Dingos, Wombats and Kangaroos as well as all sorts of other animals, reptiles and birds. We also had the opportunity to stroke some of these animals and Karen the Koala got overly friendly with me and nuzzled me in the face. After feeding a few Kangaroos and watching the farm show we had completed a great day out and it definitely made a change from our usual activities.
Planning our next free two weeks we have decided to head to the coast to visit Fremantle, Mandurah and Margaret river before our last housesit in Shoalwater. This week has been very short but comfortable and we are now eager again to explore. Hayls and Jonathan x
