After 44 days we have joined a tour and sat back on a bus and relaxed. First stop was one of the five lakes around mount fuji, lake kawaguchi, where we rode another cable car (funny I hate cable cars as they terrify me). It was worth it as the view of mount fuji was fantastic and we felt very fortunate, apparently it is only visible on average 2 days a week! We enjoyed a lovely Japanese lunch with some actually tasty local wine, would have been really nice if it wasn't chilled (red). We were then taken to the fifth station over half way up mount fuji where we could look up at the crater. It was a lot cooler up here and there was still enough snow to make a snowball. Then on to Hakone, parts of the town are currently closed due to increased volcanic activity at mount Hakone! We took a boat across the beautiful lake Ashi before catching a shinkansen back. After a great day we headed to the lively Rappongi area to experience Tokyo by night and visit Hard Rock Tokyo.
