It was a very strange flight from Fiji we took of at 9pm Saturday flew for 10 hours then arrived in Los Angeles the same day at 1pm! We got the shuttle to our hotel which was downtown LA, the hotel itself was really nice but the location maybe a little dodgy especially after dark!

You do expect LA to be very glamorous but the part we stayed in was full of homeless people and it was quite run down. The first full day we made our way to the Hollywood Walk of Fame we caught the underground and it takes you straight there, the walk of fame is where all of the stars are on the ground and there are people dressed up as Elvis, Maryln Monroe etc. It was really busy loads going on the road is huge and we walked along getting a few photos with Elvis on the way! We then made our way to the Hollywood sign, there are loads of trips that take you to the sign to get the best photos but we decided to walk, we headed off it took us about 2 hours but it was worth it as we managed to get really close to the sign for some great pictures. We got lost on the way back and it ended up taking us ages to get back to the main section! We were heading to Hollwood Universal Studios the next day so just chilled out at the hotel that night.

We were at universal early caught the underground which took us straight there, we expected it to be really busy but we managed to get on all of the rides and the stage shows. Some of the rides were Simpsons, The Mummy, Backdraft, there was loads of different characters walking round so tried to get photos with them all. Had a great day the weather was gorgeous and as it had not been too busy we got to see and do everything. We got given some tickets for the next day to be in the audience with Jay Leno, I had not heard of him but Joe had he was a chat show host who interviewd various famous people.

Next day we walked down sunset strip and went to the Viper room which is the famous club that River Pheonix died outside, the street is huge we went into the bar that Coyote Ugly was filmed inside. We then headed to NBC studios to the Jay Leno show. After only just about making it (the bus was late) we arrived and got seat in the audience, he is famous for having a rowdy audience and you get briefed that you need to clap etc. The show is live and they dont do lots of takes so it was great they had a guy who we did not know on then they had one of the contestents from Americas biggest looser, she burst on stage through a paper cut out of herself before she had gone on the show and lost all of the weight. We also had a live link up with Tyra Banks she answered 10 questions about various stuff. Had a great laugh in the break there was a band on and everyone was dancing and singing!

After making our way back we were going to try and get tickets for the LA Lakers but as they only had the ones right at the back we decided to wait and maybe see them in an away game.

We enjoyed LA but were ready to move on after three days and we were heading to san Fransisco where we would be meeting up with my parents who we have not seen since we left in may!
