We got up at 5am to meet our taxi in order to make it to the aiport on time to fly to Athens then to London.

Our great luck continues when the taxi didn't show up. All of these airport transfer buses and pre-booked taxis are whizzing past and couldn't take us. They all said they would let the taxi rank know to send someone urgently but no one came. The taxi phone number I located wouldn't work. By 6am we were meant to be in line to check our bags in and we hadn't evem found a taxi! Q started walking into town to try and find someone at the rank. I eventually rang our hotel at 6am (they had booked the taxi) and amazingly they not only answered the phone but they called the taxi company and had someone to meet me in 2 minutes. We then located Q and the driver hooned to the airport at speeds i didn't want to know about, largely on the wrong side of the road. We made it in time for late check in (turns out the airport staff are as casual about times as the taxi drivers thankfully) and we made our plane.

We then hung around Athens airport for a few hours before our flight to London. We checked out shops and a mini museum they had there. The flight to London was ok but after that things went a little 'fun' again.

Q found the place to get his Visa cash transfer and they ripped him off $100 in conversion. Nice. We found our bus and had to haggle to use our prebooked tickets as the driver was making friends with people from Spain (his background) and was going to let them buy tickets and board while telling us he might not be able to fit us on! We got on in the end and made it to Earls Court then walked 15 mins to the tube station and bought tickets then found out part orf the tube was closed and we could only go half way to our destination (information that would have been useful before we bought the tickets!).

We went half way then shelled out for a cab for the rest of the way. The hotel was awesome (very la dee da) and they upgraded us to a room with a view of the bridge and the Thames as above.

We had a nice dinner at St Katherine's dock where all the yatchs are moored then had a very long sleep!
