A quick change of plans and we drove 85 km south to visit the ancient site of Efes which is supposed to be one of the best preserved Greek/Roman sites in the eastern Mediterranean. We spent most weekends of 2010 riding and planning the 2011 trip. We headed off armed with our maps, draft itinerary, lap top and a keen sense of adventure.
