Hello again!

We arrived in Bangkok this morning, so just a quick blog as move on in a few hours. Last night at the airport Graham had some problems with his Corona bottle opener belt buckle as the security guard could not understand what it was for! Graham did his best impressions of opening a bottle, with sound effects and eventually they let him through!

Then whilst waiting at our gate they announced my name and a couple of others. I had to report at the desk when I went through, and they had given me a free upgrade to Business Class! I explained that I was with my husband so they upgraded Graham too. At first we were not sat near each other, but they managed to move us so we were next door (not that we could really see each other, as you get your own pod like space with a full lay down bed). It was great to put your feet up and be able to lay down at the touch of a button! The food was great too and the service excellent. So, we are very pleased with Cathay Pacific. Unfortunately the flight was only 3 and a half hours long, but still had time for a little sleep.

So, we arrived this morning and took the bus to the train station. It was great to see the city, as it's quite a long bus ride. Tonight we take the overnight train and then bus down to Krabi. We have booked a 1st class 2 berth cabin as a treat to ourselves for our 6 year Wedding Anniversary on Saturday. So, we're travelling in style again (we hope) as we've not picked up our tickets yet, or seen the Thai trains!
