Still enjoying keeping up to date with your travels, South America sounds amazing and glad to see you are still going.
I tell you what India seems like long time ago now.
When did 'Gordon's last Ga(s)p trip' turn into 'Maybe not Gordon's last trip'? Where are you planning to go now?
Anyways keep in touch,

Many Happy Returns, Gordon for the 25th! I can only guess you are spending this significant day on top of something: a mountain, perhaps, or a glacier, going down in some verdant valley or up to your knees in something squelchy. Whichever it may be I hope you enjoy your Birthday fully and enhanced by good wishes from all your friends in the UK. All is well here. Kindest regards, Mike g x

I hope that your day will be a splendid adventure and that you will know how much you are loved. I for one will be thinking of you. God bless and much love, Lisa x

Hi Gordon,
It's early Sunday here, quiet and very cool. I have taken some time to catch up on your trip and I am mighty impressed. Thanks for your e mails and cards. Peru sounds like blss but I think I would struggle a lot with altitude. I cannot tell how impressed we all are here with your adventure.
The play has received mixed to excellent reviews and we are selling out to very enthusiastic crowds. The cast is terrific and we, also, have been through a touring adventure which as you know is very bonding. Not much can throw us and a few small minded b****ings from old Arts page hacks in local papers is only a mild irritant. The spirit at the National is very strong.
I am off to a football match today, Chelsea v Colchester in the FA Cup. It will not be a pushover. We took a 3-0 defeat at Middlesborough last week which was a sharp reminder that our team is vulnerable. Still, they should win the Premiership IF there are no more upsets. We have a massive game against Barcelona on Wednesday 22 Feb which I can't get to as I am working that night. It will be a stupendous atmosphere.
All of which must seem a planet away from Peru. It all seems very rural and rugged and unlike anything I have ever experienced. Please don't tell me the oil refinery was just out of shot next to the MacSanders Burger Complex.
I will text you on your Birthday on the 25th for sure and catch up again very soon. We all continue to enjoy the big adventure, Mike g x
