Into downtown Edinburgh today! Cold and misty but not to worry. Lots and lots of old buildings, so magnificent. Did a tour of the underground, Mary Kings Close, showing life in the very early years. Last stop for the day, back to Douglas' and Ali's family home (1982) called Dunvegan. The current owner of the property was there and was happy to show us around. Took us inside and I was surprised by the size of the home. Bit like the tardis, didn't look big from the outside but it seemed to go on for ever inside. After having to say bye to my best bud, we then made our way to Scone (pronounced scoon) Palace which is the current residence of the Earl of Mansfield. Beautiful building and grounds.

Well we started the day with a hearty breakfast of black pudding. Wasn't too keen to try but thanks to the wonderful cooking of Scotland's very own chef extraordinaire - Alasdair Melville, I was more than pleasantly surprised. Will do it again.
