Hello everyone. Had the most amazing time in the National park. We stayed in tree houses which were actually quite high and had all sorts of animals inside them. It was a bit dicey getting up and down the ladders to the houses and naturally we were in the highest one. The night time was exciting. We drank tea as we watched the sky turn black and a huge thunder storm play out in front of our eyes. I haven't experienced such a fierce storm before. It was great. Then we lay in bed and watched fireflys fluttering around our room, which was a sight! There were bats and spiders etc as you might imagine being high up in the jungle. Then we transfered to the Raja Phraba lake. It was soooo remote and beautiful. you felt like you were the only one there. We have had a brilliant time there. The was the jungle safari at night where we got to see all sorts of wildlife including some huge hairy spiders. Wasn't impressed with that. he he he! Our raft houses were just rooms that floated and each one was pinned to the next with a plank of wood over the water. This made for an interesting trip to the toilet in the middle of the night with no lights. It was also fun walking the planks when you'd had a few too many Chang beers. Naturally we had!!! This was one of the best experiences so far. The vies was to die for and every morning we would dive into the clear warm water and take a bath or go canoeing. They also had big rubber rings for us to lounge around on. It was very relaxing. What an experience at night with the monkeys howling!
