After camping on top of a Ben Nevis equivalent and not being shot at during the night by any angry Macedonian farmers, we had a pretty nice 1390 metre descent to start the day. We had to dodge vicious-looking dogs, stray cows and tractors. Lots of donkeys pulling heavily-laden carts. Oh and George's "just show them who's boss and swipe them away" attitude got him stung by a wasp. It now looks like he's been in the ring with Lennox Lewis. And lost. Reasonably funny.

Now back in Bulgaria (Petrich) in a sweaty internet cafe. It was full when we arrived, now we're the only ones in it. After 3 or 4 days of camping, I can't imagine why...

We're trying to improve our route and work out when we're going to arrive in Istanbul. It's looking like either Thursday 26th or Friday 27th, depending on the hills. Only 700 ish km to go!
