Next stop on the Bali tour was Nusa Dua, which is known for the nice resorts. Brandon had treated us to 4 nights in the St Regis hotel to celebrate Bobbi and Brandon's 21st birthday in style. We were definitely looked after! They even had an unpacking service - they would have needed some help with my backpack. We had an amazing 4 days enjoying the lagoon pool and delicious morning pancakes and I even managed to ensure Bobbi and Brandon had cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner on their birthday!
Our third stop on the Bali tour was Nusa Ceningan, located right off the coast of Bali, this little island is a good alternative to the craziness that is Bali. To get to the island we were picked up from our hotel in Nusa Dua and taken to the port in Sanur where we caught the fast boat to Nusa Lembongan. On the way the heavens opened and the roads flooded and the sea became choppy. It literally did not stop raining for 10hours so when we arrived at Jenny's place we were soaked along with the contents of our rucksacks! I spent two days diving here and on the second day was lucky enough to dive Manta Bay dive sight and see half a dozen Manta Rays swimming right above us. However as the sea was very rough I had to stay in the water and swim to help with the sea sickness between dives. Even at 18m under water the current was so strong you had no choice but to drift backwards and forwards.
Our final four nights in Bali were spent in Seminyak where I was feeling very ill and couldn't eat for a few days. I spent three days recovering and we spent our last day in Bali visiting Waterbom park. Where we enjoyed the lazy river and water slides, a great day out during the week as it is very quiet so there are no queues!
It was then time to say good bye to Brandon at the airport after a great three weeks! Next stop.. Australia ☀️
