Thursday 24/8: Woke to sunshine! Hooray! We've both got a bit of a cold but doing ok, so we headed to the coast at Stonehaven. The narrow roads remind me of driving in the south of England and they feel very familiar. We parked the Honda on the quay and set off along the coastal path toward Dunottar Castle which is perched on a headland. Wednesday 23/8/17 Banchory. There had been promises of foul weather from the west coast but it wasn't too bad in Banchory. Admittedly the sky was grey and the light drizzle in the morning got heavier and became real rain, but there was no thunder and lightning, no flash floods and no drop bears. Tuesday 22/8/17: Well we made it! Hett and I left Perth Monday 21/8/17 (SQ 214) at about 5.10pm and got into Singapore at about 10.35pm having travelled 2420 miles, 3895km in five and a half hours. After a longish stopover we got airborne about 1.10am Tuesday 22/8/17 (SQ306) and after 6764 miles, or 11,140 km and about thirteen and a half hours ( lots of film watched) we made it to a cloudy Heathrow.
