Well where do I start. I had no luck on the job front in Perth, and general living in the city is so expensive. Staying in Perth was not an option otherwise i would be home in a few months. Managed to find out that Renmark, near Adelaide is the best place to be at the moment for work. The bad news is Renmark is miles away and in the middle of nowhere, and Adelaide is expensive and also miles away. Managed to get a van at a great price and have been on the road for 4 days solid, with no internet (until now), no shops, or general reality. We have done a total of 30 hours driving and currently 7 hours away from Adelaide (Finally, phew) The drive has been such an experience, from huge road trains, to kangaroos and breath taking scenery. The drive is just one big open road (no roundabouts or traffic lights, just petrol stations and camp sites. Camping hasn't been as bad as I thought, most of the camp sites have power and hot plates for cooking. Everyone I have met along the way have been so friendly. Met someone from Holland, Brazil and have bumped into them again at petrol stations. Also met a lovely couple from Melbourne, who gave us their business card and invited us to stay if we get that far. The thought of a comfy bed is enticing. Kitted the van out with camp beds, mini stove, toaster, ice box, solar shower, led lights, utensils. Sounds good I know, but actually living in one is strange. Hopefully will be in Adelaide by tomorrow to top up on supplies and unfortunately will need to buy some slightly warmer clothes as now in the South :( Will then be off to Renmark to look for some well paid work. The good news is the minimum wage here is equivalent to £10 :). I will hopefully upload some pictures in the next couple of days :) bye for now.
