Hope you are having a great time wish I was there but at my age I don't suppose I would be able to keep up. Nothing very exciting happening here. Big brother is back on our screens and I think they have got most of the contestants from another planet. The Eurovison song contest was the highlight of last week with Finland setting a new trend (the group was deffinitely from another planet).

So glad that the departure went off OK. No doubt you are both fully recovered from jet-lag, and enjoying life to the full. Your postcard shows that you have got off to a good start. I notice that you are testing out the famous beach "for scientific reasons only" - I wonder what you mean by that?! As you say, the Brazilian locals must appreciate the Barcelona victory in the European Cup final much more than we do here. Personally, I feel really sorry for Arsenal - workmen were already putting up the "props" for a victory parade in North London when news came through of the result. So it all had to be demolished....
