Rio - Part II Rio has been very kind to us, lovely hostel, lovely people and great weather. Sugar loaf mountain and the Christ the Redeemer were just so excellent with these elements combined. The day trip to both of these did not get off to a good start with the tour guide saying the weather was too cloudy. However, you can see by the pictures this was quite untrue. The real reason emerged later - she had been on a booze cruise party the night before....

Rio baby! Gemandlobsbigadventure finally got off the ground on with a visit to the famous Copacabana beach. We both looked like typical brits with very pale skin, and so all and sundry were trying to sell us stuff the whole time! Copacabana beach definitely lived up to its reputation, is beautiful sand and sea though a little bit lively on the surf front.
