You seem to be trying to beat each previous record of 'how long to spend on a train'. 14 hours seemed pretty extreme, the 18 hours was mind boggling but 23?!!!
I really do hope you enjoyed the boat trip to make up for it!
Take care - look forward to hearing from you on 'Bonfire Night'!
Much love mum and dad xxxxx
Liz Walton, Charlies Mum!
Well done Sylvia, we mustn't let the technology get the better of us! Great to hear that they are seeing lots of places that the rest of us can only dream about!

As Charlie and Gemma don't seem to have managed to post their latest message I just thought I'd let everyone know that they're on a river cruise for 4 days then have an overnight stay in Yichang before catching the train to Shanghai (23 hours). They probably won't be able to access the internet until 5th November when they expect to arrive in Shanghai!

Hello hello!!
Sorry to hear you got lost again.. bless ya!!
It's so exciting reading your blog!! I check it at least twice a day!! Then go and tell everyone at work what you've been up to!! They are so envious and you've even inspired 2 of them to walk the great wall in aid of cancer research!! They are really hoping to do it next June but have to raise £2700 first!!!
Anyway, must go, Jake has football practice soon! He wants to post after me but we'll see if he can drag his eyes from the TV first!!
Talk soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Liz Walton, Charlies Mum!
Hello again you two!
Hope you are both good and keeping off the pot-noodles!! Nothing much happening here....same old same old! Weather is (surprise surprise) drizzling and dull. Clocks go back tomorrow, so extra hour to play with! Entire family send love....along with various unprintably crude comments(!!)
Have fun; although it looks like you already are!
Much love, The Waltons xx

Hello to you both
I'm hoping to successfully record a message for the first time.....
Joanne saved the photos to disk and we all went round to nan's to have a look at them - I think we managed to match up the locations with the places you told us you've been to. Quite spectacular and we're looking forward to seeing the video maybe we can get popcorn for that one!
I'm surprised to see that Charlie isn't wearing his shorts though - it really must be cold!
Uncle Steve was on GWR reporting on the fires sweeping the coast in California.
Hoping you're continuing to have a fabulous time
Loads of love mum and dad xx

Hi Guys - WOW what great photos. Amazing to follow your trip like this. All OK this end, fires close enough to cancel all outdoor school/soccer activities, but far enough away that fires were no danger to us. Keep those photos coming. Love Steve, June, Lenny & Kevin XXX 10
