Thursday the 7th we head for Tongariro National Park where we continue The Lord of the Rings theme. We spend a day and a half here and visit the Taranaki Falls where I strip down to my boxers (pictures can be purchased from
Ruth) and take the coldest shower I've ever had right under the tubbing waterfall. I feel like Kevin Costner in that waterfall scene from "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves"

We find good vantage points of Mount Doom more accurately named Mount Ngauruhoe (No idea how to pronounce this lovely name) And proceed to take some hilarious photos of me stroking my replacement wedding ring (that is story not related to these travels - let me know if you want to hear it).
