Today at 6:10 pm we crossed the 45th parallel. We arrived at our hotel at 6:31. On the road almost 11 hours. Tomorrow the big push on to Santa Rosa California.

Hotter than the hubs of hell. Had to stop and experience A/C at Target. They had a Starbucks. We also wanted to wait out the rush hour. Asked a nice lady in the washroom how long rush hour is for? She said it depends if you are going north or south. Thank god we were going south. We rested / waited 45 min. Then headed out. South was fairly good. North had 3 Lanes of Traffic backed up for 20 miles. *****NOTE TO SELF*****. Never. Never go nort...

Just went over the Columbia River. It's 24 degrees. Traveling south on HWY 395. On our way to Salem via Portland.

31 degrees. Stopped so Chris could buy cold water to dump on him. He wanted to park in the shade. See the pic..... Pretty shady eh?
