Woke up late, got 'ready'. Train to shiarma, son threw away no n replaceable £280 it ticket- very sad re this. Headed to fake beach- not that great. Got some snacks and went to foot onsen then back to guesthouse to get bags for train to Osaka.

Slept in! Woke up, fed some dear. So sunny today! Went to biggest Buddha in Japan and oldest wooden temple. Wandered round and visited super cute japanese garden. Then attended french cafe for cava and cheese followed by sake tasting. Collected belongings asap the train to tanabe . With all the pastries in the world (good cheese bun). Rock up to Buddha guesthouse- terrible Rokyan with mosquitoes ++

Last day in Kyoto, went to fushimi Imari shrine. Much food purchased at Kyoto train station where bags left. Shrine nice, very busy, moved onto bamboo forest and some gardens nearby (higashiama ku)- super zen. Then to golden pav followed by train to Nara. Get to Nara at 9pm. Just saw in to see lights temple lit up. Kicked out for drinking whiskey by monk. Slept in own mixed dorm.

Wake up very very hungover. Eat toast which helps but don't leave annex till past 2pm! Went to nijo-jo palace to see a shoguns house. More cherry blossom witnessed then subway to downtown for coffee, strawberry cake and DVDs. Home for pizza delivery (excellent). In bed by midnight for once
