Jet lag getting better. Awake at 6am this morning. We had tickets for Sagrada Familia today for 9am so off we headed to attempt the Metro for the first time, which is pretty easy. The metro pops you right outside the church so as you come out, there it is, although surrounded by fences as the building work is going strong. Good old jet lag. I was pretty much wide awake from 4am but mum managed to sleep on and off to about 7.30am. After getting organsied and having some brekky at the hotel we headed off to Casa Batllo, one of Gaudi's masterpieces. Up nice and early this morning at 2am for our pick up at 3am to head to the airport. Nice easy run in, as you would expect at that time of the morning but still amazed how much traffic is still on the road at that time of the morning. Checked in nice and easy and had a couple of minutes wait before the gates opened at 4am to let us through immigration. Brand new smart gates were a surprise. No more human contact required.
