Chemaines, BC - Best Western

Day 1 - Arrived in Victoria, BC at 1030 and spent the day touring Parliment Building, walked through The Empress Hotel to see all the changes made to building since we stayed here in 1982, walked around grounds at Government House and then drove to Chemaines for 2 nights.

Day 2 - Drove north to Nanaimo, BC, the end of Trans Canada. Wanted to complete another Bucket List Item of traveling across Canada from beginning of Trans Canada in St Johns, NL to the end of Trans Canada in Nanaimo, BC. Even though it was not all done on The Trans Canadian Highway, I have made the journey by truck, car, train & ferries. The main route spans 8,030 kilometres (4,990 mi) across the country, one of the longest routes of its type in the world.
