Well an intresting day......first of all the only reason i am typing is because i cannot sleep......but i will get back to all this shortly.......so today was like i said a bit of a wash......in fact as i was about to go out to see the town it started raining yet again....bummer but it stpped after not too long and since it got late steve and i played a bit of frisbee which was quite nice......since everything is closed on sundays at about 12 we decided to eat at the hostel for 8,60 which to me seemed reasonable but steve was a bit reluctant......it was a little late in being served but when it was it was great.......huge serving just like in america and made by a great chef.......it was cous cous, veggies, chicken, cheese, bread, chocolate mouse, and yeh really good.......wine wasnt included but when i sat down steve came back with this huge bottle of wine that they gave us.......not sure if i mentioned this but last nigth the only reason i drank anything really was cause it was on the house........so yeh great meal not my favorite drink but it was free so i wasnt complaining.....then we watched the euro 2004 soccor tourney......happens every 2 or 4 yrs and is huge over here.....but as i was watching it was difficult to pay attention being in french and all and the few cups of wine had made me sleepy so i went upstairs.......not planing to go to bed but i sorta did which was good.......but when steve and the new guy Dan came in they both woke me a bit and i couldnt fall asleep......Dan is an ausy who is here on his bike for a month.....he is gonna ride all over france and in the alps.......really cool idea.....he is also gonna catch 5 legs of the tour de france and so i got some good info from him about it.......so anyway yeh they woke me a bit and i couldnt fall back asleep......dan snores a bit so that wasnt helping......i read somewhere or someone told me if you cannot fall asleep after 20 minutesz get up and do something low key......so here i am typing away getting all frustraited with this dumb keyboard......haha so much for low key........so in my restlessness i decided i think i am gonna part ways with steve tommarrow......today was a bit of a bust and i want to continue on my own routine......it would have been nice to travel with him cause he speaks both languages so fluenntly but i am just not feeling it......maybe after chatting with Dan about his travels his is not worried about the language barrier at all and so i dont think i need to be either........and steve is going a bit more east then i would like to......also as i ralked with him some more we got chatting about relationships and such and he told me about this sweedish girl he met about a week ago that he has apparently completly fallen for after one night.......it was intresting cause i could see myself telling the same story 2 yrs ago and yet now when he told it the age difference between us was so apparent......there were also a few other things that he said throughout the day that made me think he was a bit imature.......not that i am all knowing but it was just intesting to reflect and be able to redfect on it.....i never used to think about things liek that so much and even in these kinda terms......awww i am growing up (finally).......haha ok enough divulging for now......so i believe tommarrow i am outta this town and headed toward the normandy area like i said......i am definelty gonna keep in mind the key lesson i learned that after my nigth in the station which is to find a room a bit earlier.....yeh laurie was totally right but i cannot bring it upon myself to book days in advance.....i think i will make a time limit where each day i should end traveling and find a place to stay be it hostel, hotel, bed and breakfast, someones yard, a corner of forest, police station (which would be pretty cool sorta.....the guy from europe on 84 cents a day suggested and did this where he asked if he could stay for a night because he had nowhere else to go.....i would prolly not do this alone or with perfect comunication that i want to leave in the morning....haha last resort though) or a church.......oh one more intresting thing the sunset here is so much later. At like 10 it is just getting dark, really throws me for a loop......aight so i am off again with the next sign of internet tbd so stay strong my ben journnal addicts......miss you all (also prolly why i cannot sleep)......latta PS tom my goal is to sleep in a green patch of land on someones yard liek the one in the pic ;-)
