Well, i am very much well and at a hostel where there is free internet.....on the negative side it is in france and the keyboard is messd up......most notably the q and a are swiched so it is a slight change but seems to be my most common mistake......that and some of the keys are rubbing away so i am guessing as i type.......that aught to make this intresting.......so yesterday i did make it too exactly where i wanted right before a highway toward dover........after 1.5 minutes of thumb up and Dover sign in hand i am picked up by a nice english chap...i enter my first hitch into one of the world smallest cars (though it seats 4)....he turned out to be a drivers ed teacher......so there were pedals on my side which he advised i should avoid touching as it would cause us to do things we didnt mean to do.........He was coming out of london which he hated cause of the traffic but had a lesson.....just to drive in the city they have cameras everywhere and tape ur plate as u go in.......within the day u must pay 'quid' aka sterling aka lbs or else u get a 85 lbs fine.........steep......the car he owns is all his and he really only uses the company for advertising and pays them 75 a week and eevrything else is as much as he wants to make..........he was funny cause his hair reminded me of mine but way more gel and longer......he was going about half way to dover and dropped me off at a rest stop for ne to catch the next hitch.........this time i had to wait all of " minutes......another guy again prolly around 30 who was vacationing in france and so heqded toward dover.......he was a construction worker of some sort couldnt reqlly gather whqt exactly he did.........he was kinda skeptical about hitchhiking which was the opposite of what the driving instructor told me......he thought i would have decent luck and thought the camping idea was fairly safe and doable......who knows we all have our own opinions i suppose.....so he dropped me off in kinda an incovient spot.....i could not board the ferry where he was cause it was cars only so i had to go elsewhere::::elsewhere was - miles away.........in lew of testing my luck too much with hitching i decided to bus it for 2lbs........i must say dover is a nice little town.......i visited the fire house and got some picks of the fire trucks and chatted with the fireman......and u could tell they were fireman just the way they acted with eachother and how they talk.......sounds like i have a fireman stereotype going on.........anywho........then grocery shopping and off to the ferry.......with that i am gonna conclude for the moment......i need a shower and this is the only internet so i dont want to look like i am monopolizing it......though i am.....cause yeh post ferry ride is where all the fun began......i will try to post again todqy pending availibliy, things to do in town, and weather......all of which are looking down as it is raining, a small town, and no one is here........so i wont keep qll u ben journql qddicts hqnging too long......haha.......benjamin L
