Another fantastically descriptive blog Erika! :) not sure i'd have liked the market either. I once went to a market in Barcelona and it had lambs heads severed with the eyes still in them - similar - but i am sure the dog thing is much worse - just different cultures babe. Sorry to hear you were ill yesterday (?) i am so confused with the time difference so it may be 2 days away to you now! I hope you are feeling much better - drink lots of water to flush out all the toxins and keep yourself hydrated and y9ou'll be fine! :) as i said in my email yesterday, not much is going on here. I haven't looked at the new photos yet but will do so in a minute - i saw the pandas etc the other day - how cute! Its so interesting to hear all about everything you have been up to and seen. Maybe one day i'll be able to go on a trip of a lifetime! Enjoy! Speak soon, mwah xxx

Hey Erika !
Love the new pics ! Must be great to see pandas in a sanctuary instead of a zoo ! Not too sure about the train journeys tho !! The pic in the rice field is one for the wall we think !
Your chinese cooking looks good - we'll pencil you in for the first weekend you're home ! Ha Ha !
Glad your experience in Dali was really enjoyable and the food was good there. Through your emails and blog it's like we're there with you !!
Remember - stay safe ! Missing you loads.

Hi Erika,
"Courageous Traveller of the Year 2009"..... yes, you certainly deserve a gold medal - though maybe you would be happier with a good nights sleep! What an amazing trip you are having - a life time experience! But the thing is, you will be needing a holiday to recover from your holiday!
Where to after China? Some rest days in between? We will make sure we won't organise any hairy train or bus trips for you once you get to "Oz". !! Take care
Big hugs
Maggie and Bill in Adelaide.

hi hun, just looked at all your amazing photos. i think the warriors look spooky! lol. Although i am sure they are amazing to see... unlike some of the stalls outside with rotting meat! :) glad you are enjoying everything, shame you can't quite stomach the train and bus journeys though - can imagine some of them are terrifying! you're not missing much here... apart fom the man upstairs terrorising us on Sunday morning - 4am - the joys of living below a drunkard! missing you. Looking forward to hearing from you again soon.xxxxx
