The natural history was OK, I think. All the explanations were in either Icelandic or French. The entire museum appeared to be dedicated to a single French explorer who trekked around Antarctica. His name was Jean-Baptiste Charcot. I was confused what this had to do with Iceland, but it appears his ship was wrecked off the coast of Iceland some time later. I mostly got the drift with what little French I know.

I've arrived in Sandergi, a small fishing town on the peninsula west of Keflavik. It's much warmer here than other parts of Iceland. There were no explanations about this sculpture, so I'll leave it to your imagination.

Lots of small beauty along the way. This hike will be about seven miles along the coast and the cross country.

Today was a beautiful, sunny day...all day! A person can really like Iceland in days like this. It's interesting because the sun never rises higher than the level we in Montana normally see in winter. So even though there aren't more hours of sunshine here, the sun never gets very high in the sky. But, that's great for photographers as low sun has better characteristics of light. It's amazing what a little glue can do to heal a body. I found an Apotek and bought a bottle of what I think is something like liquid bandage. I glued the skin flaps I tore off back onto fingertips to protect those sensitive little nerves. Cured! Maybe they'll get a fighting chance to heal.
