Waiting for the 55 bus to Keflavik. There was another fellow, that also dropped off a rental, that was in Iceland for two weeks. He had seven pieces of luggage, most of the the super size, that took up 90% of the cargo bay. I felt dwarfed by my measly two pieces that I used for a little over 3 weeks. But, I like traveling super light. The black luggage piece is a special size called 'international carry on'. It is about 25% smaller than the US domestic carry in size.
But, the carriers let me take it as carry on with my small backpack. No checking and easier to haul around when I'm moving between locations.
I'll be blogging my gear in a while. I'm managed to use everything I brought multiple times...with the exception of the mini tripod. Just too windy unless you have it weighted down. Same problem with my England trek. Nothing worse than watching the wind topple a nice camera.
