Today we (us 2, sam, glen and sophie) arrived in the historical town of kanchanaburi after approx 20 hours of travelling! We visited 'death bridge'- which was built during ww2 under the Japanese army by hundreds of thousands of prisoners of war- quite a large amount of them British. Today we visited another waterfall which was much bigger and easier to access than the one yesterday! It was very scenic...as we missed the sunset at the canyon by about 2 minutes yesterday so we decided to go back today and got some great pictures as you can see! :) trying to sort out our transport down to kanchanaburi and Bangkok at the moment and we might go and see a pretty cool cave tomorrow - still loving Pai! :D

Today we went to a waterfall and also went to visit Pai canyon which isn't exactly the Grand Canyon but its still a beautiful place! Yesterday we also went to a really posh hotel resort to go to some hot springs which were really nice but as the name suggests- very hot! Tonight we are going back to the canyon to watch the sun set as its meant to be incredible and then go for a nice meal for valentines day! :)

Today was our last day in Chiang Mai and as we had done the trek in the past two days we fancied doing something a bit more chilled, so we decided to go to the 'temple on the hill' called 'Doi Suthep'. It was stunning and so high up, if the sky had been clearer you could have seen the whole of Chiang Mai! In the evening we also realised that we hadn't been to see any Thai boxing yet so we joined about another 10 people in our hostel to go and see the local fight ...

Today we arrived in a place called Pai! The hostel is sooo good- definitely the best one we've stayed in so far! This place is so chilled too which is nice after the business of Chiang Mai and before the mayhem of Bangkok! So far we only have three nights here but we will definitely be booking some more by the looks of things as its only 3 quid a night and that includes breakfast! It's our friends' 25th today so we're going into town later to check out the nightl...
