Hi all, Well I think just after I last posted, I made a spontaneous decision to take a helicopter ride over Victoria Falls in Livingstone, which was absolutely amazing. The following day I went to the falls and walked until I was soaked. The views were spectacular and I have some great pics of me by the falls with a rainbow in the background. Been in Livingstone for a few days now and will be leaving tomorrow for Chobe National Park in Botswana. Left the beautiful island of Zanzibar a few days ago with its narrow maze of streets, fish markets, old slave market site, and wonderful paintings and wooden carvings (of which I bought my share). Hi all, Been busy over the past couple of weeks seeing a lot of wildlife. I have visited the Masai Mara. Here it rained heavily, rivers were coming through our camp! We also had a rather angry elephant not far from the tents. The Masai Mara was beautiful, particularly as the rains had come. There were, however, a lot of dead and dying cattle as the drought had been very long. Also there was a 'duty free' shop in the Mara - rather an odd place for one ...

Gone is the land of flush toilets and hot showers (except perhaps for the campsite at Eldoret, Kenya, - a haven created by a monied man permanently smoking cannabis.
