This morning Anthony waited patiently for the solar hot water to come through the pipes. We were told that it could take up to four minutes to come through, but he waited ten minutes with no luck and had an icy cold shower instead. My turn. I tried the other tap and got hot water. We were up at 5:00 am to organise our bags and get to the airport for our trip to Machu Picchu. It took 5 minutes to drive there and 10 minutes to get into the car park. We had an overnight stay near Heathrow before being picked up by our private hire car to transport us to Gatwick. The car worked out cheaper than the bus and the driver was lovely company. We were also much happier with the hotel over our earlier stay at Heathrow.
