So, our first 2 days of contact with Africa was nothing less of a shock. Mombasa is supposedly one of the biggest cities in Kenya, with over 880000 habitants and boasting a colorful history as a portugese/british port town with numerous trade routes to Asia. With an age of over 450 years, you'd think they would have found the time to develop Mombasa into a contemporary city. Wrong. This is Africa at it's core, broken down shacks, sheet metal-supported buildings...

ANU: Roomassa jälleen. Ollaan syöty älyttömän hyvää intialaista ruokaa ja painutaan pehkuihin. Huomenna illalla (yölento) Afrikkaan Keniaan. Italiassa on nyt vietetty 3,5 viikkoa, aika kului nopeasti mutta paljon nähtiin ja koettiin. Isompi seikkailu alkaa sitten ylihuomenna. Insha'Allah.

ANU: Tänään käveltiin Amalfin kaupunkiin, käytiin duomossa (kirkossa) ja pyörittiin keskustassa. Sitten siirryttiin kävellen Ravelloon.
