We decided to fly from Singapore to Bali as Indonesia isnt the easiest place to get to and we had left ourselves only 2 weeks, for Indo so we decided to head to Bali for some beach action and venture from there to Lombok maybe...

Stayed in Legian which is between Kuta and Seminyak.. south Bali, we had been recommended a hotel by a friend of Lucys and apparently Legian wasnt quite so crazy as Kuta! We weren't very prepared, for once we didn't have a lonely planet at hand! Legian was nice and it was only a short walk into Kuta. We found Kuta beach which is huge and full of surfers... we pretty much stayed by our pool for two days though!... i wasn't really a fan of this part of Bali, we had already been told it was the holiday destination for party crazy aussies and it definitley is! .. you also feel a bit out of place if you dont have a moped and a surf board attached to it! Kuta is a party town with tiny little streets full of knock off surf gear! Even in low season it was rammed.

So...then we decided to head to the Gili Islands.. we wanted to see Lombok too but with limited time we decided to stick to one of the islands...
