No matter how short the flight is on BOA you always get a snack box. My kind of airline. Bolivia are promoting a huge Soy Bolivia campaign and changed the countries name in 2009. Poly national state of Bolivia. All the photos showcase a different tribe. Impressive. Eduardo and Marco Ruiz Gumiel are the photographers. Chocolate is Nestlé. It's got nuts in it too. Yum. Turkey type sandwich and a shortbread type biscuit which Ed promises are v good.

Saltenas and papaya juice. The saltenas were slightly sweeter and drier than the tarija ones but still really tasty breakfast. Papaya juice has a weird aftertaste that always makes me think of mould for some reason but I know how good it is for my skin so knocked it back.

La bodega vieja For 12 b we got this hamburger in a really cute candlelit restaurant playing brilliant happy Bolivia and Spanish music. The chips are so perfectly cooked everywhere in Bolivia. I fear I'm eating them too much but can't help it!

La Bodega Vieja My chicken burger. Everything here comes with ham and cheese but I opted for just the chicken salad. The breast was shredded and pan fried with egg to bind for the burger. Clever idea to ensure the food is cooked to order and really fresh. Bun was slightly sweet. They like sweet stuff a lot here. Serious dental issues as a result. Or maybe it's the massive wads of coco leaves in their cheeks !

Chocolate truffle for dessert The counter was just like Butlers. We had an orange filled one (took me back to Roses at christmas time) A quinoa one. They used the popping quinoa. Really enjoyable. Like rice crispy chocolate which felt a little good for me too! An almond one and a pure white one. Chocolate here is very similar to roses chocolate in general. A slightly dry grainy after effect which is absent in Butlers. Still delicious.
