This blog had some problems uploading and showing the video we posted at the start of our journey. We have done a couple videos along the way now and posted those on Sini's Facebook account, if you're friends with her you can check them out there. This video is a test - to see if the blog can handle it or not. It's not quite as refined as the previous ones, but rather something in the same direction. It's also saved in email-format to save space and to make uploading faster (I'm doing this over the free wifi of our 700 NPR/night lodge). That means it's pretty grainy... Anyway, we decided to check out Lumbini, the town next to the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, the historic figure better known as the Buddha. The building in the beginning is the Maya Devi temple, covering the exact site. The last shot is of the World Peace Pagoda further north. Surprisingly, the pagoda was much larger and better taken care of.
