Ben & Zella's travels
Hello everyone,
Upon leaving Taupo we arrived at the River Valley at the most amazing hostel in the valley neat to the river where ben decided to brave the cold weather and embrace the white water radfting with fellow extreme team members. He had a great time even though it was rather cold.
I however decided to go on 1 1/2hr horse trek through the NZ rolling hills with a couple of the girls Tasha and Clare. What a giggle we had! Cantering and getting covered in mud and my horse Buster decided at one point whilst cantering off up a hill to do a very unique little jump which almost sent me falling off sideways, but i managed to hold on and all was ok. Later that night we sat down by a roaring fire in the lodge with the rest of the team extreme (12 of us in total) eating a full Sunday Roast - yum yum yum.
The next day the weather turned and the rain began to fall en route to Windy Wellington, which is very very windy. After being on the road for a good 4hours we hit Wellington where the girls and i checked into the Sanctuary which are female only dorms. The 6 of us have our very own dorm with white bed linen, Feather pillows, fluffy white towels, our own chill out area complete with pot pouri, free champagne upon arrival and an aveda shampoo and conditioner each! We are all in heaven. It's great.
Last night we went out to celebrate Tashas birthday (she had a bad one earlier whilst she was away so we decided that she needed a better memory of her special day - she was so surprised and loved it) and Ben and Taras leaving goodbye, as they were due to jump on the ferry to the south island today.
The 12 of us graced a Chinese which we took over and ate lots and lots of food (enought to feed a small country) and drank even more wine. We then hit the bar in the hostel and then an Irish bar where we danced and drank untill the wee hours of the morning.
Today the ferry was cancelled due to massive waves, so we have Ban and Tara for longer which is great news. The girls and i have hit NZ's capital and shopped in the rain and are goingf to spend the evening chilling before our early start tomorrow morning for the very rough to be ferry crossing!
Hope all are well and warm.
Love you all lots and lots Zella x x x x
