Ian, my cousin and God Father passed away 6 April 2014. His middle name Hamilton is after our grandfather Hamilton Browne Livingston. His funeral, in Liverpool, brought together a number of his friends, some of whom made short, impassioned and, it has to be said, frequently amusing speeches about their various experiences as Ian's friend or colleague. Deep admiration and fondness was expressed by all and it was evident that Ian had touched many people's lives with his wit, intelligence, kindness and enthusiasm. His passing was sudden and it is clear his absence will be dearly felt by all who knew him, especially his wife and life long soul-mate, Cindy, to whom our hearts go out at this very sad time.
