To get from Tunja to Villa de Leyva we went over the top of a mountain and the climate seemed to change in a matter of minutes. Tunja (like Sogamoso and Bogotá) is rather mild temperatures with frequent rain. Villa de Leyva is more like a desert, much warmer and drier.
