Hi Ewan Just had a quick break and have gone through the slide show. Pretty impressive and good to see photos of the group. We atched a film called the Paited Veil last night with Edward Norton and Naomi Watts, set in China (interior) in 1928 when the re was a massdive cholera outbreak. I had forgotten how beautiful Chine is and how incredible the mountain/river combination can be. We managed to finish the painting in the living room but still need to do the floor. Hopefully will be finished beore Shona comes home on Saturday. Hear from you soon I hope. Be safe. Love Hxx

Hi Ewan, really good to hear from you. Sounds as if the groups gelling and geting tge most out of the trip so far. Isn't it weird that your dad and I have been to some of the same places, albeit almost 30 years ago, and your finding them amazing as well. It's been really miserable weather so far this wekend and we had snow this am. Decorating as ususual and I have to check out a fireplace shop in Roydon++all the other ususal chores. Looking forward to your next catch up. Be safe. Lots of love Hxxxx

Hi Ewan,
Hope everything still going alright. Work continuing in the house and I've got today off to start decorating the living room, which is why I'm on the computer! In case it isn't big news in China, Thistle drew with Rangers in the cup last night, so its back to ours for the replay. Who knows?

Hi Ewan, Guess what other ex Simon Balle pupil is based in Adult Care Services in Limes Court for 3 weeks to help numties like me deal with the new "HYPERWAVE" system???? Ian Cleaver!!! I'm glad to dsay that so far the training sems to have stuck and I've remembered how to access records as per the new system. Iwould have been mortified at presenting my ususal IT level of expertise to him. He was asking after you, and is opnly doing this job to earn some money to do more travelling. He sailed from ? to the Caribbean as his foray into the wide world. I was telling him that Paul Carrier has also worked in this office (he was out with him for a drink last night!!!!!)and that Gemma was in the New Rd office. I guess that you're really busy travelling around and enjoying China ande that internet access isn't a priority/available at present. Let's know how you are and what you're up toi when you get a chance. Love Hxxxx

Hi Ewan, It's very cold and miserable in this part of the world. Hope that it's better where you are. We went to Carole Littlechild's mums funeral yesterday. Spoke with Tom, who is very envious of you being away travelling. I think he's a bit wighed down by studying and exams etc. But he has been off on his own travels in the past so no real sympathy from folk who are part of the sausage machine that is Herts County Council. There's been quite a lot on the news about the current political situation between China/Tibet, are you being affected by it in terms of being able to travel? How was the wall? Hope to hear from you soon. Love Hxxx

Hope you're feeling a bit more" at home" and can order some food under your own steam. It's really good being able to keep in touch this way and I promise not to ask you silly things like are you eating/sleeping enough etc.
Let us know about the rest of your group and what they're like, Just back to work today after a week off. Oh Joy!!!!!. Speak to you soon. Love Hxxxxxxxx
