Today was our full day of the holiday and our first day in Croatia. We had breakfast in the really nice hotel restaurant, where we were served lovely fried eggs and lots of chorizo and cheese. We then went back to the hotel and got changed to go for a swim. The sea was lovely and clear but it was very rocky and quite hard to stand up. Once you got swimming however it was fine. I did some sun bathing also. In the afternoon we decided to go into split. We drove in and parked in the old town. We walked around the old roman palace and inside there were lots of shops and restaurants. We had a pizza slice each. We walked around the palace and then got an ice cream afterwards. We walked down the harbour a bit and found a scenic bench to sit on. We decided to go back into the sea when we got back. I was trying to swim so that I didn't slip on the rocks when I felt this sharp pain in my right foot. As I had kicked off I had kicked a sea urchin! So I stumbled out of the sea and when I looked at my bloody foot it had at 13 sea urchin spines in it!! When we got back to the hotel my foot was killing and dad tried to use a needle to get it out he got 1 out but made a bit of a mess of if! That evening we walked around the bay me virtually hopping. It was really nice and cool however and the view was amazing. We then went back to the hotel and went to bed.
