Hello, After nearly missing out on getting to our hostel in time, we arrived in Rome! It is sooo hot, the bus and metro were impossibly hot, and Jas and I were both sweating lots, yuck. We did however make it to Vatican CXity at about 4. We thought it would be a good time to go because it was quieter, but sadly not cooler! Hi guys Today we walked around Florence's sights but did not go in as the queues were long and money is tight! We took photographs of the bridge, cathedral, Galleria degli Uffizi etc, which were really impressive. The heat has been unbearable today, and we were thankful when it began to rain! After lunch we stopped off for some ice cream which was really amazing, but it was v expensive. We are off to Rome tomorrow, our hostel is close to the train sta...

So here is our menu: Caroline had spaghetti with tomato sauce, followed by grilled chicken and green salad. And i had, beef and tomato tagliatelle followed by a medium grilled pork steak! It was excellent! We aslo had a bottle of Chianti. There was a great atmosphere as the waiters were eccentric. Under £10 each. see you all tomorrow. x
