Wow, beautiful pics, and giving me the travel bug. Thanks for that little respite from a NYC classroom!

We're glad to read that you managed to hop on over to Colonia. We were only there for a day trip, but loved it. Our first scooter ride as well. Anyway, wanted to wish you the best on the bus ride to Iguazu -- looking forward to more photos and stories.

Sounds like you two are having a great time with fun adventures! The food sounds pretty amazing too. I (Bling) have to say I'm somewhat jealous of your daily diet compared to ours. Happy Travels!

Holy Cow, what an adventure!!! When Tony was very young (about 4) his family traveled to many of the same places you are going...of course he doesn't remember much :)) I love you're blog and look forward to reading more. Have LOADS of fun, we are always thinking of you guys.
Love, Tara

!Buenos Dias! (My elementary level Spanish will end there.)
So happy to hear that your journey has become and it looks like its off to a good start. Looks absolutely stunning. I'm looking forward to reading, seeing, and hearing (eventually) all about it.
Vaya con dios. (I couldn't resist.)

Elizabeth, I am so jealous/envious. I love South America. You guys are beginning a great adventure and as I read your first blog so many wonderful memories surfaced. Josh, one of my first Spanish sentences I learned was "Yo quiero un cafecito doble." That was in Colombia -- a little different from Argentina. Those small espresso style cups were just not enough coffee for me.
When you hit Colombia, let me know if you are going to Cali. I have friends there and would love to try and hook you up. Buena suerte!
Con cariño, Eilee

Such fun to read along on your blog! I particularly appreciated how something as simple as ordering a cup of coffee can be an adventure. I can still remember role playing with Ahmer before going to the market for the first time. Everything went smoothly as long as the shopkeeper did not deviate from what we rehearsed.Hang in there and can't wait to hear more about your impressions, explorations, culture shocks, and misadventures. Love your first blog!! You guys are the best and deserve all the fun and adventures that you will have. Best of luck with Spanish Joshua; and with finishing your thesis Elizabeth -- I know both will happen!
