Los Islands Flotantes litterally are islands that float on the lake. Apparently they were first contructed as a way for the Ayumara people to live a seperate lives to the Incas who were fast controlling most of Peru and Bolivia. These days I think they're more of a toursit attraction, but lovely nonetheless.
