The last day and a half we spent in the Cameron Highlands. Getting here was a battle for those of us who get motion sickness. Getting to Malaysia from the islands of Thailand was quite the journey. Saying goodbye to the islands was sad. We took off from Koh Samui around 5am to the ferry station. We were supposed to catch a 6am ferry, but upon arriving, we were told it was cancelled so we had to wait around for the 7am ferry. The last you heard from me, I was on an overnight train headed to the islands. I've never been on an overnight train and it was a really cool experience. They come around and put tables up for you and your "roommate" to eat dinner on, and then, when you were ready, they come around and turned the small space into bunk beds. I've spent the last two days in Bangkok,where I met up with my tour group. Bangkok is quite different from where I've been prior to now. It's a huge city with lots of traffic and noise. It took quite a while to get from the airport to the hotel, but upon arriving at the hotel, I dropped my bags in my room and set off to explore the city before my group meeting at 6pm.
