Hello!

Thank you for all your messages of congratulations!! (again!)

We've now arrived in Tamil Nadu, South India. It's freezing!!! Martin's fleece is coming in useful! We are at about 7000ft asl.

Trip from Mangalore to Bangalore was interesting... Due to mud slides our train was cancelled so we were running (tuk-tuking) around trying to get refunds and book a sleeper bus for the same evening. Everything worked out fine! Bus was a bit cramped despite the "double" beds but we did get some sleep :) We even managed to see Harry Potter is the poshest cinema ever before leaving!! Leather seats and immaculate :) It only cost around 2 pounds each!!! Much better than cineworld :P

Bangalore was chaotic...so many people and we managed to stay in the least touristy part of town! Was good fun and quite an experience sleeping in the middle of the city market! However we were in the perfect spot for all the sights :) We saw the fort, palace and botanical gardens..oh and the market!!!

Mysore was one of our favourite towns! It started off well as the Goa booking agency had put us on the modern super speedy posh train, quite different to what we expected (A/C and lunch included!!!!!). We visited the zoo, palace and cathedral. Busy busy!

Got a bus yesterday to Ooty. High in the Nilgiri hills. It was a rushed tour of the Mudumalai National Park and Bandipur Nat Park. Running out of time on here... Basically having lots of fun and saw the most amazing botanical gardens this morning!!!
