Im very glad you had no dramas like us when tubing!! It is sooo crazy. Make sure you get tubing t shirts before leavin Laos too. The slow boat is awesome isnt it? Hope you managed to get the back of the boat as those benches are hard core!!! Keep the updates coming. Me and Brian are back on koh Puhi phi for 5 days and then heading to KL so its a shame we couldnt meet up. Crossed into the Thai border at the most dangerous border without realising yesterday but no problems!! Kinda started to worry when the soldiers in the bunkers had guns sticking out with granade launchers on them!!!! I do not envy that bus journey it has scared me for life!! Just prepare yourselves annd have spare dollars as the border staff are corrupt and will may have to bribe them like we did. After 3 hrs you will have to sleep on the bus at the border or some people we have met were dropped at a guesthouse!!! I am sure it will be fine though and after this any journey will be a breeze!!! he he. Hanoi is a cool place and the guesthouses near the lake make for a great location. The guesthouses all seem to be a bit pricy and this one was average around 15 pounds a night but flat tv screens and the full works!! Have fun take care xxxx
