Magnetic Island is Beautiful!!

A real treat - not that we have been hard done to by any means on this trip so far - but magnetic island feels like you have escaped the hustle and bustle of tourits for a few days - our hostel base - was right on the beach - about 10 steps. The bar had a big deck area next to it which played music all the time ( which was abit annoying when you were trying to sleep) but great in the day when your having a beer in the sun ( yes - i drink beer now!). We were the only building along the whole road and it was full of backpackers - and suprise suprise - we ended up in the same room as the girls we had done the boat and fraser with - what are the chances!!

when we got there - our oz bus driver sconzey had arranged a kayak day - about 10 of us got our kayaks and went around to the other bay where we saw lots of multi colour crabs and did some sand art - and then had a race back to our beach near the hostel - which nearly killed all of us - kayaking is hard work!!

most of our stay was based around sunbathing on the beach - lying in a hammock, drinking at the bar and going to horshoe bay to watch the sunset - i really enjoyed it and I was glad we stayed in one of the quieter hostels... next stop - mission beach for our SKYDIVE!!!!!
