So, some essential UK updates because I imagine you aren't busy enough exploring half the globe. The southwest has seen mostly clouds, clouds and clouds today with more expected for the next 300 years. I celebrated payday with some excellent noodles (probably not comparable to the fare you're experiencing). Most importantly, there is a noticeable Ellie-shaped gap if you look at England on google map.
You're blog is brilliantly written. Gah, I miss you already! You're leaving do looked a storm and I will be there for the welcome home shindig come hell or high water (planning ahead a bit).
Hi to Nai and have a fantastic trip.

Ellie my love, I LOVED your Cambodia posting. It took me straight back there and I am very jealous you made it to Sihounukville as It was one of the places I wanted to visit. Your description of the genocide museums made me cry; it's so hard to understand how it could have happened when the Cambodian people are so kind, frendly and caring of each other (and visitors). I've sent you a message via Facebook too. Missing you and lots of people have been asking how you and Nai are getting on. Much love to you and Nai xxx

Ellie,
Great to read your first impressions of Bangkok. I e-mailed STA on Sunday and then went in to see them on Monday and spoke to Andy Lees the office manager who was on the front desk. I explained what had happened and left him to make a few enquiries. Andy rang me at home on Wednesday to say they are going to refund the ticket cost in full. The money hasn't gone back into my credit card A/c yet but no doubt it wll appear soon.
Andy said my attitude made it a lot easier to want to help and he apologised to you and I for what had happened. I can't fault STA for how quickly they've sorted this out.
Hope Cambodia is as good as expected - love to you both,
Dad

Ellie, I just read your first blog entry. Fantastic - so vivid and exciting and makes me very jelaous I am not in Bangkok! I loved the offerings to Buddha too. Good karma is very important. I remember the people are so friendly but wait til you get to Cambodia - they will bowl you over with their friendliness and hospitality. Safe journey on the bus my loves. Lots of love
