Hi all! So, we volunteered at the Ladakh Confluence Festival over the weekend and it was amazing! We met so many cool artists and listened to some brilliant music. You MUST look up: Rodney Branagan, Shaii'r and Func, Terrakota, Rajastan Roots and Anna Van Riel. The last act, Anna, was the nicest person I met at the whole festival. The last day was a wash out as it rained so hard people were just slipping everywhere! It was like a mini Glastonbury!
Leh has been fun but we're ready to leave now. We met some really cool people and did some amazing things. We Mountain Biked 40 KM down the world's highest motorable road in the world! We also went to see the Dalai Lama talk which was an experience!
We're moving on now however. We plan on moving South to Jammu in a jeep, staying in a houseboat along the way and doing some trekking on Ponies and possibly some white water rafting.
From there we plan on going to Rajastan and down to Gujurat and then accross to Varanasi and Darjeeling. Then we might make it to Nepal and stay around Katmandu.
Anyhow, I could talk for hours about the festival but I won't! Just make sure you all listen to those artists!
I will keep you updated. Keep looking back for some photos! I promise to put some up as soon as the internet is decent enough.
Lots of Indian love,
