We got to Loas via slow boat which in the lonely planet book is ment to be the most scenic way to get to Loas and its right, some of the most beautiful sites we have ever seen it was like going through jurassic park, you litterally half expect a big dinosaur to pop out somewhere it was just great, we had a stop over in Loas somewhere before we came to luang Prabang which was alright we got ripped off though we had some 'happy shakes' but there was nothing happy about them, the next day we were up early again and back on another slow boat, so all in all 14 hours later we got to our destination.
The first few days here in Loas wernt really the best we didnt really know where to go and Lukes leg (from falling over in Chaing Mai) had gotten pretty bad and we ended up going to the hospital on the 1st day here, it had got pretty badly infected as things do here because of the heat and his foot kept swelling and going back down again so we got quite worried so we got a tuk tuk to the local hospital which really wasnt the nicest of places i think they sort everybody out in one room so next to Luke was a girl with a broken wrist getting plastered and injected with stuff and then a little Loas boy whos parents left him while he was seen too and crying...different world completly!! So Luke go his wounds cleaned and was put on 3 different types of pills. When we got back we decided that if we were going to have to stay in for a few days we may as well check into a nice hotel with a pool and nice room so Luke can get better and i have something to do, so we checked into this £20 anight place which was just amazing!!! it would be well over £100 in the UK so we were living like kings Luke had a nice room with a telly to chill in and i had a lovely pool to myself for the day which i loved!!! we havent done a fat lot since we have been here because Lukes been getting better.
I went out today with Tom and Dee we rented some push bikes and rode around the town going to different temples and then later on we went to a temple thats really high on a hill and watched the sunset it was just great there were quite a few people up there but we managed to get a good spot and some great snaps which will follow...so that thats it for now guys will blog you soon.
